Chicken meat has a versatile and delicious taste that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. One way to enjoy which I totally love and cook by using Caramelised fig and honey balsamic vinegar, such an easy way to cook as well.
This recipe serves 2-3 people
INGREDIENTS Marinade
-
6 Tbsp of fig and honey balsamic from @myanbahfarm
-
1 Tsp of sweet paprika
-
½ Tsp of cayenne pepper
-
Pinch of cinnamon
-
1 Tbsp of cooking salt
-
Mix above ingredients in a small bowl and keep aside.
Ingredients
-
3 Chicken thigh fillets, each cut in half
-
1 Tbsp of dry thyme herb
-
2 Tbsp olive oil to cook
-
Choice of salad and
-
Oven baked chips
Method
-
Using a chopping board, layer chicken meat, coat with thyme and garlic and sea salt olive oil on both sides of fillets
-
Brush a frying pan with olive oil and turn the heat on medium high, cook fillets for 3 minutes on each side.
-
By using a basting brush (or bunch of herbs), coat the fig and honey mix prepared above on one side, then turn it over to cook for about 2 minutes on medium heat, coast the other side then turn over to cook for another 2 minutes.
-
Allow extra time if you like the chicken to be crispier, however make sure it’s not letting the mixture burn.
-
Serve immediately with your favorite salad and some chips on side, enjoy!
